A passive house rises from the ashes

Built and designed by Maine Passive House, this passive home is situated in a beautiful apple orchard.  After the original home burned down, the owners rebuilt on the existing footprint and replaced an old farmhouse with a modern, passive house.  Airtightness is 0.41 ACH/50. TJI wall system on insulated daylight basement. Ecliptica windows, Zehnder ventilation system, Mitsubishi heat pump, solar thermal hot water system and a  6.3 kW pv system.
